# Get repository permissions for a user

From **GitHub v3 REST API**.

`GET /repos/{owner}/{repo}/collaborators/{username}/permission`

Checks the repository permission of a collaborator. The possible repository permissions are `admin`, `write`, `read`, and `none`.

## Parameters

### `owner`

- Location: path

### `repo`

### `username`

- Location: path
- Required: true
- Type: `string`
